2022 Mâcon-Villages 'Tradition', Deux Roches

Vinification: Nowhere in the world does the Chardonnay grape produce such beautiful wines as in Burgundy. How is this possible? Limestone-rich clay soil and the expertise of skilled winemakers. And without pretension, the prices remain wonderfully modest.

Tasting notes: The color is a beautiful pale yellow with a green edge. A wonderfully balanced wine with notes of white and yellow fruit, wildflowers, a lovely mouthfeel with a pleasant richness and fine acidity.

Serving advice: From now until 2028, 10-12°C

Wine and food pairing: Perfect with Bresse chicken and creamy cheeses.

2022 Les Lizières - Saumur-Champigny, Clotilde Legrand

Vinifiction: Made from 100% Cabernet Franc. The grapes are hand-harvested from biodynamically farmed vineyards, with a focus on preserving the natural expression of the terroir. The wine is fermented using indigenous yeasts and aged in stainless steel to maintain freshness.

Tasting notes: This is Cabernet Franc with character! On the nose, plenty of dark fruit, along with hints of wild fennel and red bell pepper. The tannins are beautifully integrated, and the structure has an almost crisp quality. A wine to sink your teeth into.

Serving advice: From now until 2027, 15-17°C.

Wine and food pairing: This wine pairs perfectly with grilled lamb and roasted vegetables, or a cheese platter with young, mild cheeses

2020 Haut-Médoc - Cru Bourgeois, Château Maurac

Vinification: This château is located near Saint Seurin de Cadeurne, close to Saint-Estèphe. 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon from gravel and clay-limestone soils. Each plot is vinified separately, with fermentation occurring in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 12-18 months.

Tasting notes: A deep color intensity reveals the concentration. Ripe and powerful, with subtle notes of mocha, cherries, and blackberries. Juicy and spicy with beautiful length on the clean finish.

Serving advice: From now until 2032, 16-18°C

Wine and food pairing: Pairs well with rich dishes like roasted meats, such as ribeye, lamb, or duck. Also complements mushroom and eggplant dishes, rich pasta filled with, for example, truffle, or spicy hard cheeses.
