William Kelley: "Jean-Pierre Moueix's "fermage" of this estate began in 1962, and his eponymous firm has only just acquired ownership of the vineyards to produce the 2023 Latour à Pomerol, which gives one a sense of how long it can take to acquire land in Pomerol! Offering up aromas of minty cherries, cassis, rose petals and petroleum jelly, the wine is medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with a generous core of sun-kissed fruit, sweet, powdery tannins and a broad, penetrating finish."

Houd de wijn en spijs bij deze gerijpte Bordeaux betrekkelijk eenvoudig. Past goed bij gerechten met veel structuur, bijvoorbeeld bij gebraden rood vlees, zoals lam of wild met klassieke sauzen, groenten en aardappelen uit de oven. Ook heerlijk bij harde kazen met lange rijping.
